Designed to operate in the event of a power failure the Consolite AELs provide illumination to aid escape in emergency situations. When bulkhead mounted close to exits they illuminate the surrounding area and guide personnel to safety.
The battery pack uses a trickle charge during normal operation and when activated the LED illumination will operate for up to six hours.
Both NVG and non-NVG variants are available, while an explosion proof (Ex Zone 2) model uses a separate remote light head in the Ex zone.
